This code describes recommended practices for the Installation, maintenance and inspection of electrical equipment on rail vehicles operated by Heritage Network Operators; and Inspection of electrical plant used by Mechanical and Infrastructure staff. It is based on NRSS 6 – Section 17, the New Zealand Electricity Act 1992, Electrical Regulations 1997 and Electrical Codes of Practice (NZECP) and incorporates these codes as necessary.
